Mckinsey loses consultant race

AP govt had thought of appointing Mckinsey as consultant to monitor development of pooled land
Hyderabad: The AP government has dropped the idea of nominating Mckinsey as consultant to look after land development in the capital region.
Tenders will be called soon to select a consultant. The government had thought of appointing US-based Mckinsey as consultant to monitor the development of the pooled land.
Mckinsey had prepared a report on construction of the capital and had given a presentation in the past to the state in the presence of Sivaramakrishnan, the chairman of the committee appointed by the Centre to identify the capital location.
The latest executive committee meeting of the AP CRDA discussed the government proposal. According to sources one official objected to the government’s proposal to nominate a consultant directly. He said the general procedure is for the government to call tenders to select the consultant.
