Bhanu Kiran, Maddelacheruvu Suri wife deal likely

A compromise formula was put forward by the close aides of Bhanu Kiran

ANANTAPUR: A compromise deal worth about Rs 200 crore between the murdered Maddelacheruvu Suri’s wife Bhanumathi and accused Bhanu Kiran is in the offing.

The formula was reportedly put forward before the victim's family a few days ago by a group of leaders who were dealing with the issue.

Warlord Maddelacheruvu Suri alias Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy was shot by his aide Bhanu Kiran three years ago in Hyderabad. Bhanu Kiran, a native of Anantapur, made most of the deals in the name of Suri when he was serving life term in a car bomb blast case.

The prime suspect Bhanu is in judicial custody since three years and has not moved bail due to threats from rivals.

With the feud between the families of Paritala and Maddelacheuru coming to an end after both Paritala Ravindra and Suryanarayana Reddy lost their lives, Suri’s wife Bhanumathi was keeping off politics.

A compromise formula was put forward by the close aides of Bhanu Kiran. He offered Rs 200 crore to the victim’s family and is waiting for their green signal to move his bail petition.

It is estimated that Bhanu Kiran has properties worth about Rs 400 crore in AP, TS, and Karnataka. The family of Suri was met by a group of leaders from Rayalaseema and a TS youth leader.

Sources said Bhanumathi was angry with Bhanu for killing her husband Suri who had treated him like his brother.

"The woman leader had faced many challenges since the 1997 Jubilee Hills car bomb blast and led the Congress in Penukonda," a leader from Kanaganipalli said.
