Secunderabad Cantonment Board campaigners promise flats and jobs

In all, 114 candidates are contesting for the eight SCB wards

Hyderabad: With elections just a week away, campaigning for the SCB elections has reached a fever pitch. Since the elections are being held on non-party basis, each candidate has come up with his or her own list of promises, like providing facilities lacking in the respective wards. Some candidates, who are projecting their affiliation to the TRS, are going a step further.

“A contestant has promised a two-bedroom flat and food security card,” said Shahana Begum, a resident of Rasoolpoora. Some of the contestants are promising employment for the jobless as well.

In all, 114 candidates are contesting for the eight SCB wards.
