Mumbai: Every actor and filmmaker worth his name wants to work with Tabu. The actress who succeeds in adding weight to every film and character she takes up, is touted a lucky charm by many. We hear her close friends Farah Khan and Salman Khan have been cajoling her to do more films.
Our sources tell us that Salman has approached her to make a guest appearance in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Tabu, who is known for being selective about her work, holds immense respect for Salman.
In fact, she had signed Jai Ho only because of her equation with the actor. But this time round, Tabu doesn’t appear to be in a mood to give in. The actress has always maintained that it’s never the money or banner that influences her choice to take up a film. “I take up work only when I am sure that I’ll be able to do justice to it. It has to suit my sensibility and my on screen image. I confess that sometimes I do films for my friends. That’s what I call working on my own terms,” she says.
While Salman and company are still waiting to hear from Tabu, the actress has been reading a few scripts. “She is yet to make up her mind about her next assignments. She has very few friends from the industry and they all want her to do more films,” says a source close to Tabu, refraining from commenting on Salman and Sooraj’s offer.
