Hyderabad: Hyderabad wicketkeeper Ibrahim Khaleel reached a new landmark in his first class career on Wednesday by claiming his 200th victim behind the stumps. The 32-year-old, who made his first class debut in the 2002-03 season, achieved the feat when he snapped Services’ Abhishek Sakuja off pacer Ravi Kiran during the Group ‘C’ Ranji Trophy match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

Khaleel has so far taken 177 catches and effected 23 stumpings from 54 matches and is the lone Hyderabad ’keeper in the 200-club. Youraj Singh, who retired in 2000, is a distant second with 139 dismissals 124 catches and 15 stumpings in 64 games. With the bat, Khaleel has aggregated 2,121 runs in 82 innings at an average of 30.30. He also has three centuries and nine half-tons against his name.
