Samsung announces a new version of Galaxy Note 4

The new smartphone has a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset

A news piece had recently revealed that Samsung was working on another variant of the Galaxy Note 4. Now it seems final. Samsung has announced a new variant to the flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 4. The device will be launched in the South Korean market by January 2015.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has presently two models with only the chipsets differentiating the two from each other. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 version and an Exynos 5433 chipset are only two available versions in certain continents around the world. Now Samsung announced a third version with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset.

An Anandtech report stated that Samsung is not cashing in on the chipset speed as its main element, but is marketing it on the cellular speeds. The new Snapdragon 810 chipset-based Galaxy Note 4 is capable of 3x20MHz carrier aggregation, enabling LTE speeds of up to 450Mbps for future Category 9 LTE networks. Peak speeds of 300Mbps can be reached using the present Category 6 LTE network.

At present, there are no inputs about the new variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 being shipped or sold to the market outside Korea.
