Leaked: BlackBerry 'Z20 Rio' touchscreen handset in the making

The 5-inch BlackBerry Z20 Rio handset will likely offer 16GB ROM

BlackBerry, a smartphone brand known for its QWERTY keyboard may start adding new touchscreen devices to its shelf in 2015.

The first touchscreen handset of 2015 will be named ‘Z20 Rio’. N4BB has leaked out the images of the first look of BlackBerry Z20 Rio, which is speculated to be a mid-range device and may launch in February 2015.

The upcoming 'Z20 Rio' handset will feature a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is speculated to be powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor. It will also sport an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera. The device will boasts of 16GB of internal storage capacity and is expected to be fuelled by a 2,800mAh battery. Media reports also state that the BlackBerry Z20 Rio will only be available in two colours - black and white.

Additionally, the recently launched BlackBerry Classic will also enter the Indian market in the first quarter of 2015.

The Classic device sports a 3.5-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It runs on BlackBerry 10.3.1 operating system, comes with 2GB of RAM and offers 16GB of internal storage capacity, which can be expanded up to 128GB.
