How to get along with your boss at work revealed

The study was conducted by Michigan State University

Washington: A new study has revealed that workers are more motivated if they and their supervisors see eye-to-eye about the quality of their relationship.

The study conducted by Michigan State University examined 280 employees and their bosses and found that motivation suffered when an employee believed he or she had a good relationship with the boss but the boss saw it differently or vice versa.

Fadel Matta, lead investigator of the study said that seeing eye-to-eye about the employee-supervisor relationship is equally important so that they can get along with each other easily.

Matta added that some people even fake it, but their results indicate that the opposite is true, but at the end of the day, it's better for everyone to know where they stand and how they feel about each other.

The findings are published in the Academy of Management Journal.
