Many TV artistes have come forward to support comedian Venu, who was attacked by a particular community, on Sunday.
Leading from the front, Nagababu condemned the attack on Venu and appealed for action against the people who assaulted the comedian.
“No one can shake the Jabardasth programme. Earlier too, we had received threatening calls to stop the show, but we didn’t stop or fear these calls.
It’s not right to attack an artiste, we want justice,” said Nagababu. He added that the programme didn’t hurt any particular community’s sentiments.
All the television artistes gathered at the Film Chamber office building and condemned the attack on Venu. “If there is anything wrong with the programme, they can complain to the police or the Film Chamber.
But this is not the way to express their opinion. You can’t take law into your hands,” said Maharshi Raghava, another TV actor.
The entire Jabardasth team came out in support of the comedian. In the meantime, Venu officially complained to the Movie Artiste Association (MAA) about the attack and sought its support.
Nagababu says that, they will fight till justice is done to the actor. Another comedian Dhanraj too condemned the attack and requested the MAA to support their fight for justice.
