Pakistan vows to strike terrorists harder

Pakistan forces kill 12 Taliban in Balochistan

Islamabad: Pakistan’s civil and military leadership on Friday resolved to expand the military operation against the militants for a “decisive fight” as authorities prepared to start execution of the convicted terrorists. The decision, taken at a meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army chief Gen. Raheel Sharif, comes after Tuesday’s massacre of children at an Army-run school in Peshawar.

Sources said the execution of the terrorists was also discussed. The meeting was held after Gen. Raheel Sharif on Thursday approved the execution of six terrorists, who were sentenced to death by military courts.Meanwhile, two Taliban commanders were among 12 militants, including foreigners, shot dead by Pakistani forces on Friday in Karachi and Ziarat district of troubled neighbouring province of Balochistan, officials said.
