Hafiz Saeed, Pervez Musharraf blame India for attack on Peshawar school

Saeed threatened India with ‘revenge’ for the Peshawar massacre

New Delhi: A day after the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan attacked an army school in Peshawar brutally killing 133 children, 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Mohammad Saeed on Wednesday blamed India for the massacre carried out by the Pakistani Taliban.

Video shows, Saeed saying that it was a conspiracy by PM Narendra Modi's government against Pakistan. Saeed threatened India with "revenge" for the Peshawar carnage.

Saeed's Twitter handle was recently banned after he spewed venom against India and spoke of launching Jihad.

Meanwhile, former Pakistani military dictator and president, Pervez Musharraf also blamed India for the barbaric killings.

In an interview to a national news channel, Musharraf said, “Taliban's commander was supported by Afghanistan and India to carry out terrorist attack in Pakistan. The perpetrators of the crime were those trained by India.”

Indian intelligence agencies have sounded an alert, warning that Lashkar-e-Taiba may target two “unspecified hotels in the national capital and the Delhi-Agra highway.”

The warning flags the possibility of Saeed-led LeT or Jamaat-ud-Dawah targeting India.

The MHA referred to the “heightened possibility” of an attack ahead of Mr Obama’s visit. Home minister Rajnath Singh said all states were told to ensure “target hardening” of vulnerable places and installations, including the Railways and schools.
