DKNY Golden Delicious Million Dollar Perfume ($1 million)

The DKNY Golden Delicious is not just cologne but also a collector’s edition, it comes in a fascinating golden-apple-shaped bottle and is fashioned out of 14K white and yellow gold. Not just that, the company replicated The New York skyline which encircles the top half using 2,909 precious stones and contains 183 yellow sapphires, 2,700 white diamonds, a 1.6-carat turquoise Paraiba tourmaline from Brazil, a 7.18-carat oval Cabochon sapphire from Sri Lanka, 15 vivid pink diamonds from Australia, 4-rose cut diamonds, a 3.07-carat oval cut ruby, a 4.03-carat pear shape rose cut diamond, and a 2.43-carat flawless vivid yellow Canary diamond adorning the cap. The company had teamed up with famed jewellery designer Martin Katz to create this one-of-a-kind edition and it took nearly 1,500 hours to complete. True to DKNY’s Be Delicious DNA, the fragrance itself treads a familiar path with apple, sandalwood and white musk as the dominant notes.

Clive Christian Imperial Majesty Perfume ($4,350 per ounce/$435,000)

This perfume is one of the most expensive perfumes in the world. Released in 2005, only a 10-bottle run each made for men and women of this super-rare, super-exclusive limited edition perfume was released for sale in the famous Harrods store in London and Bergdorf Goodman in New York. The whole bottle contains 16.9 ounces of perfume and is crafted by Baccarat, adorned with a 5-carat white diamond on the neck and surrounded in an 18-carat solid gold collar. This limited edition pushes the boundaries of exotic ingredients that are concocted over six months
While the men’s perfume is a spicy take with cedar wood, cardamom, Arabian jasmine sambac, and Tonka beans smoothened out by mandarin oranges, the women’s scent is a sweet complication of bergamot, ylang-ylang, Rosa Centafolia, sandalwood and Tahitian vanilla.

Idylle by Guerlain Special Edition ($45,000)

The limited edition perfume created by perfumer Thierry Wasser is fresh and floral featuring a mix of a bouquet of lilies, peonies and roses. The bottle comes in a fluid design and is crafted in 18 carat gold and encased in a bubble made of Baccarat crystal, which makes it look like a perfect work of art! The bottle further comes packaged in a lacquered wood box.

No1 Passant Guardant (£143,000)

British perfumer Clive Christian launched one of world’s most expensive perfumes with a whooping price tag just recently. This special edition of his No1 fragrance comes in a diamond encrusted bottle covered in 24-carat gold and encrusted in diamonds. As with all the bottles, the top of the bottle is shaped like a crown created in 1872 and paid homage to Queen Victoria. But in this case, the gold crown is embedded with flawless white diamonds. In total, there are 2,000 individually set diamonds on the bottle. Meanwhile, the lion motif on the front is made up of two yellow diamonds, with a rare pink diamond marking out the lion’s tongue.

Hermes’ 24 Faubourg Extrait ($1,500 per ounce)

This limited edition fragrance for women was launched in 1995 by the French luxury brand Hermes, and it is named after the address of its original store in Paris: 24, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Designed by legendary perfumer Maurice Roucel and Bernard Bourjois, the scent is based on ylang-ylang, orange blossom, jasmine, iris, vanilla and ambergris. With just 1,000 bottles sold all around the world, patrons of exclusivity won’t wince at the price. The bottle is made from St. Louis crystal and is shaped in a soft, curvy square.
