Telangana can expect a hike in their power bills due through tariff revision

Hyderabad: Consumers in Telangana can expect a hike in their power bills with the Telangana State discoms proposing collection of Rs 3,500 crore through tariff revision and an additional ‘Time of Day Tariff’ for HT consumers (large industries, railway traction, bus stations, airports, malls) for consumption during peak hours.
Also, around Rs 900 crore of Fuel Surcharge Adjustment from previous years, which is yet to be collected, may be passed on to the consumers in the Annual Revenue Requirement.
