Mumbai: Actor Varun Dhawan, who is an active Twitter user, was invited for a session at a lit fest. The session was called Young Adult Special YOLO and Varun was joined by Rishi Jaitly, India market director, Twitter.
Varun spoke at length about the power of Twitter and how he feels it has impacted everything from films to politics and has also had an effect on his stardom. In the course of the session, someone from the audience asked him how would he convince his contemporaries Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif to join Twitter.
To which Varun joked saying, “I just need to tell Mr Rishi Kapoor.” As the audience burst into laughter, Varun added, “On a serious note, there are many celebs on Twitter but under different names, only to keep track of what’s going on. That’s the truth.”
