A case of gangrape under Section 376 (D) has been booked
The incident came to light on Sunday. Darsi DSP B. Lakshminarayana said the victim was residing at her relative's house.
Ongole: In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old speech-impaired woman was allegedly gangraped by three youth on December 3, when she was alone in her house in Gangapalem village under Marripudi manadal of Prakasam district.
The incident came to light on Sunday. Darsi DSP B. Lakshminarayana said the victim was residing at her relative’s house.
Accused M. Narasimham, S. Prasad and D. China Kasi Reddy barged into the house, forced her to drink liquor, before raping her. Based on a complaint by the victim’s grandfather T. Venkata Reddy, the police visited the village and sent the victim for medical test. A case of gangrape under Section 376 (D) has been booked. The accused absconded.
