Mahatma Gandhi reaches out to kids in new avatar
Chennai: Mahatma Gandhi's life story for the younger generation has been made available in the form of a recently launched comic book.
L.Rajesh, founder of Gandhi World Foundation that aims at spreading Gandhian ideologies, recently launched a comic on a collection of Gandhi’s life stories containing rare details on his life like how he spent the Independence Day on touring India for its Hindu Muslim unity rather than merely celebrating the occasion alone.
The comic book is called 'Maanavargalikaga Mahatma' (Mahatma for students). The 42- page- book contains multicolour pictures of Gandhi with writing in Tamil that is easy for children to read and understand. It is the first ever Tamil comic on Gandhi's life printed in colour. The foreword is by former President A. P. JAbdul Kalam.
