I am single and ready to mingle: Arjun Kapoor

Arjun Kapoor talks about how a Mahesh Babu film has been reworked to suit him
Mumbai: Arjun Kapoor is on a roll since 'Two States' hit screens and the young actor is now looking forward to his upcoming film, 'Tevar'.
Talking about his character, he says, “He’s a regular boy and is finding his direction in life. He has an attitude and lives as if he is the king of the world.” Talking about his character playing kabaddi, the actor adds, “Playing
kabaddi
was no pressure… I spent a week with them and we had a kabaddi ground behind our office. I had fun learning the sport.”
The film is the remake of the Mahesh Babu starrer 'Okkadu;. “The original film was done with Mahesh Babu in 2003. We are in 2014… so, times have evolved and the story needed a lift we needed a pan India treatment. But the premise is the same, that of an ordinary person in an extraordinary situation.
He was a kabaddi player and we have retained that too. That excited me from day one. But we have tweaked characters to make them more believable. 'Okkadu' was full of heroism, this one has different shades,” adds Arjun.
Talking about his single status, Arjun says, “I am single and ready to mingle. It’s not easy to be in a relationship, you need a lot of stability and mentally you need to be ready for a relationship. I’m there but not there. I don’t want to take quick decisions. I have met a lot of girls but they say ‘hi’ and ‘hello’ and go their way.
“You have to be ready to give it your hundred per cent. I am ready mentally, but I don’t want to take quick decisions. I don’t have a type (of girlfriend in mind) because you get the opposite kind of girl. Man proposes and God disposes…you plan something but something else happens,” he adds.
And about the type of girl he would marry, the actor says, “She should like my nature and have conversations beyond two words. I like to have fun. She should also understand my profession. Our job is not nine to five and I do not have control over it. I like to have fun and she should understand my kind of jokes. She should understand my progressions. I am sure I will find the right person.”
