Andhra Pradesh inks 2 more MoUs with Japan

On his fifth day in Japan, CM met many officials
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government on Friday signed two memoranda of understanding one with Japan’s ministry of economy, trade and industry (METI), and another with New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organisation (NEDO).
On his fifth day in Japan, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also met many officials, ministers, entrepreneurs, industrialists, including the representatives of Hitachi and Sumitomo Mistsui Banking Corporation and invited them to invest in AP.
The MoU with METI states that METI and relevant governmental organisations will promote direct investment by Japanese companies into Andhra Pradesh in urban development, infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, food processing and IT.
On the other hand, the MoU with NEDO states that NEDO will share information and exchange opinions with AP about smart community (including smart city) activities and success stories of Japan.
