Wickedleak launches octa-core 5-inch smartphone below Rs 8,000

The One features an 8MP rear camera, 8GB internal storage and 1GB RAM

Wickedleak Inc has introduced a new smartphone in the market named Wammy One. Very reasonably priced at Rs. 7,990, Wammy One is a 5-inch smartphone which runs on Google’s Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. The smartphone is currently available for booking exclusively at WickedLeak's website www.wickedleak.org.

Speaking on the occasion, Aditya Mehta, CEO, Wickedleak Inc. said “We are extremely happy and proud to launch Wickedleak Wammy One. We are targeting the masses by launching the smartphone at a very affordable price. Now gaming, watching movies and online videos will be an all together new experience for user’s. We have brought down the price to offer better value to our users by monetising the android OS. This is in line with our future strategy and vision. We want to sell hardware at cost price by monetising the software of a smartphone as we enter into strategic partnerships with app development companies”.

Talking about its features the Wammy One boasts of a 5-inch IPS OGS capacitive touch screen and is powered by octa-core processor, 1GB of DDR3 RAM with dual sim capabilities (3G + 3G). The device runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and also comes with gesture support with a number of pre-defined gestures like smart wake.

Other specifications of the Wammy One include an 8MP Rear Camera and a 5MP front camera for capturing selfies, video calling, 8GB built-in storage (expandable to 32GB), Wi-fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS for advanced navigation and Li-Polymer 2800 mAh battery.

Pricing and availability details:

The 5-inch Tablet called Wammy One priced at Rs. 7,990 ($128) with Android Kitkat OS. The Smartphone will be available for pre-booking exclusively at Wickedleak's website www.wickedleak.org. Pre booking begins on 29th December 2014 with a limited stock of 10,000 units.

After sales:

Wickedleak has further boosted its after sales service by extending the pickup and drop service to over 2200+ locations across India.

Now, customers can simply call the Wickedleak helpline at 022 6566 6511 and ask for a free pick up at their doorstep. The device will be picked up from their doorstep by a Wickedleak representative and would directly reach the company’s service hub in Mumbai. Once the device is serviced, the Wickedleak representative will deliver the device again at the customer’s doorstep.

Furthermore, Wickedleak has adopted this unique mode of after sales service to ensure the customer’s convenience. The free pick up and drop is designed in such a way that the customer doesn’t need to spend hours at a service centre. Instead, the customers can schedule the pick-up and drop according to their own time and convenience. This saves the customer the time required to travel to a service centre as well as the hours spent waiting for getting the device checked and serviced.
