BJP slams Congress for pact with MIM jibe

Hyderabad: Ridiculing the statement made by AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh that both the Majlis and the BJP had entered into a secret pact in keeping secular parties at bay, state BJP president G. Kishan Reddy on Monday said if such is the case, then why the Congress is hesitating to withdraw its support to Majlis in GHMC?

Addressing a press conference on Monday, the BJP leader said, time and again it is proved that the BJP is the principal political opponent of Majlis party, not only in Hyderabad, but also elsewhere in the country due to its communal politics and activities.

“The Congress leader had said they will go alone in the coming GHMC polls and announced there will be no tie-up or understanding with Majlis.

If Digvijay Singh wants to stick to his statement, I demand the Congress to withdraw support to Majlis in GHMC. Digvijay Singh needs to be sent to an asylum,” Mr Reddy said.
