Country’s top cops will be meeting in Guwahati for first time under NDA government

New Delhi: A terror plot to target the country’s top police brass meet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was foiled on Monday with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) recovering explosive material and powerful IEDs being transported for carrying out the attacks in Assam.
The country’s top cops will be meeting over the weekend in Guwahati for the first time under the NDA government to frame a roadmap to guide the country’s internal security policy. Mr Modi will chair the meeting where the top security brass, including Union home minister Rajnath Singh will be present.
