CM K Chandrashekar Rao hails Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis

Power is not permanent: KCR

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao said that upholding the diginity of the House was of paramount importance. “Power is not permanent,” he said.

Referring to the recent suspension of five Congress legislators in Maharashtra for two years, he praised new Maharashtra Chief Minister Fadnavis for setting a good precedent.

“Earlier, the Legislative Assembly used to command a lot of respect from all due to its dignity and decorum. All that is lost now. Anyone can say anything against anyone.

They can level wild allegations against anyone without any proof. We have become a laughing stock among the public. We have ourselves degraded our positions with this loose talk,” Mr Rao remarked.

There was uproar in the House following this when Mr Revanth Reddy rose to speak, with TRS legislators demanding an apology from him and the Speaker had to adjourn the House for 30 minutes.
