KPCC president Parameshwar threatens to release list if CM dithers

Parameshwar is seeking posts for party workers
Bengaluru: Discussions between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC president Dr G. Parameshwar on whom to appoint as heads of state-owned boards and corporations hit an impasse with the latter reportedly threatening to announce the list of names in a couple of days.
Sources in the party said during a meeting at a private hotel here late on Monday night, the leaders stuck to their respective stands with Dr. Parameshwar seeking these posts for party workers, and Mr. Siddaramaiah insisting that some legislators be appointed as chairpersons of these organisations.
Meanwhile, a senior leader belonging to the KPCC president’s camp told Deccan Chronicle, “Our central leaders rejected the lists of both leaders outright when they met them last month. The central leaders had asserted that these lists contain names of their supporters, and advised both these leaders to finalise one list accommodating more names of party loyalists. In other words, what they meant was to accommodate the supporters of other senior leaders too.”
The leader said though both Mr. Siddaramaiah and Dr. Parameshwar had differences on many issues, they agreed that the list cleared by central
leaders would be “acceptable” to them.
Besides this issue of appointments to boards and corporations, Dr Parameshwar reportedly broached the topic of improving the party’s image ahead of polls to various local bodies.
“He suggested that Mr. Siddaramaiah should expedite the process of expansion of the cabinet, but refrained from making any suggestion on the nature of expansion or reshuffle. It looks like Dr Parameshwar spoke about it just to highlight the fact that he did not want to be a stumbling block in any process which is the prerogative of the Chief Minister,” the leader added.
