Life of male sex workers revealed in book

The book talks about pimps, their good clients and bad ones

There is a tendency to forget about the other sex when we talk about fashion, beauty and sex. Stereotypically, a sex worker is associated with women. A new book, revealed in Australia, explores males sex workers and their lifestyle, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

In the book Male Sex Work and Society, edited by Australian academics Victor Minichiello and John Scott, the authors highlight that men too can chose to work as escorts as they find it enjoyable, it pays well and they get to interact with different kinds of people.

“The male body has become an object of consumption, and as a result the idea of men selling their bodies for sex is becoming increasingly acceptable,” Scott was quoted as saying.

The book also talks about pimps, their clients, the sex they perform and their relationships, while it busts myths surrounding male sex workers and the industry they work.
