Tallest tower planned at Sanjeevaiah Park

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who recently took a decision to build skyscrapers around Hussainsagar, on Monday reviewed the issue with officials to identify suitable locations. Mr Rao plans to build the world’s tallest tower at Sanjeevaiah Park.

GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar and CMO officials were present at the meeting.

Officials drafted proposals to build towers near Patigadda, Nursing College, Dilkush Guest House, Raghava Towers etc.

The Chief Minister also directed officials to clear the encroachments at Bathukammakunta in Amberpet. Rajya Sabha member V. Hanumantha Rao had met Mr Rao and complained about the encroachments in Amberpet. The CM said that land worth nearly '3-4 lakh crore in the state was stuck in legal disputes. He asked the government advocates to expedite legal measures to resolve the disputes.

Mr Rao also directed officials to begin preparations for holding the Godavari Pushkaralu in a grand manner in Telangana. He said that despite longer stretches of the Godavari and Krishna rivers passing through Telangana, Seemandhra rulers in undivided AP had neglected Telangana and held Pushkaralu only in the Andhra region.

Mr Rao instructed officials to make full-fledged arrangements in all the Telangana districts through which the river Godavari flows for holding Pushkaralu.
