Patrolling team saves lives of six of a family in Karimnagar

The family was sleeping when their house was set ablaze

KARIMNAGAR: Six persons of a family had a providential escape when a police patrolling team opened the doors of their house which was set afire at Rudrur village in Varni mandal on Sunday night.

According to sources, a car and a bike, parked in front of Jakkani Narayana’s residence, were set ablaze and the flames spread into the house. But as the inmates were fast asleep, they did not notice the flames.

Varni SI G. Anjaiah, who, along with his team were passing through the way on night patrolling, noticed the flames and broke the doors open saving the family of six.

The victims said they had no enmity with others in the village. Varni police registered a case and are investigating.

They thanked the police team for saving their life. However, they did not name any suspects with regard to setting their house ablaze.
