RDO transfer: Differences between Ayyana Patrudu, Ganta Srinivas Rao surface yet again

In the difference of opinion Ayyana Patrudu hasn't taken Ganta Srinivas Rao's name publicly

Visakhapatnam: The differences between the two cabinet ministers from Visakhapatnam district, Ch Ayyana Patrudu and Ganta Srinivas Rao, have once again came to the fore, with the transfer of controversial RDO, J Venkata Murali, and they are likely to cast a shadow on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to city on Monday.

HRD minister, Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Panchayat Raj minister, Ch Ayyana Patrudu, are considered poles apart. Ayyana minced no word in attacking Ganta Srinivas Rao at a public meeting held before 2014 polls where the later along with his aides joined TD in the presence of Naidu.

It is learnt that, Naidu, asked both the leaders to shun their differences and work in camaraderie for the benefit of the party and their respective political careers.

While Rao, never interfered into the domain of Ayyana - rural tracts, Ayyana never interfered into city affairs of the party and other issues.

In August this year, Ayyana alleged that Pratyusha Associates, business firm which Ganta Srinivas Rao was once associated with, had bagged the contract to build multiplex on 1.5-acre site belonging to RTC on BOT basis in Narsipatnam, through dubious means.

Ayyana wrote a letter to the chief minister, transport minister and the RTC MD to cancel the contract at that time. Though, Ayyana, this time has not openly taken Ganta Srinivas Rao’s name, he rued that it was at the behest of the latter, that, the district collector didn’t relieve, RDO Venkata Murali, who is considered close to the HRD minister.

Interestingly, Murali name figures in the list of officers who are going to be felicitated by Naidu on Monday for their services aftermath of Hudhud.
