Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi in Dubai for 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' shoot

Dubai: Bollywood stars Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi are in Dubai for the shoot of their upcoming film 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani.'

According to Gulf News, director Mohit Suri said that the film is set in the UAE, and hence major part of the project has to be shot in the most glamorous and populous city of the country.

Suri, who was shooting the final UAE leg of production at Miracle Garden, added that though the city was generally treated for its high-tech buildings and modern landscapes, he wanted to romanticize it and show its softer side.

The drama, which also stars Rajjkummar Rao, has been described as "an intense love story," and is said to be loosely based on the story of the film's writer and producer Mahesh Bhatt's parents.

Balan and Hashmi, who had last worked together in 'Ghanchakkar,' have been filming in and around Dubai for the past few months, shuttling between Cape Town in South Africa, Abu Dhabi and Hatta.

The film is anticipated to release in June 2015.
