Hassan: Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda on Friday said he has been invited by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) to take part in the 125th birth anniversary celebration of late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in New Delhi on November 17 and “Im going to attend it.”
“This is the second invitation from the Congress office asking for my participation and I will attend. I am a small farmer who rose to Prime Ministership of the country accidentally,” he said but added that he was unaware of the invitation from the Congress for leaders of Third Front.
“It is for the Congress to invite PM Narendra Modi for the programme. Argument and counter arguments between Congress and BJP will continuue and I would not like to comment on it,” the former PM said.
