Yesteryear actress and her husband have been arrested for drug peddling in Kenya

Mumbai: Actress Mamta Kulkarni has been reportedly detained in Kenya along with her husband Vicky Goswami aka Vicky on charges of drug trafficking. The couple were arrested following an investigation by the United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Mombasa Police department.
A popular face in the ’90s, Mamta appeared in films like Waqt Hamara Hai, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Baazi and Karan Arjun. In 2012, Mamta married 52-year-old Vicky while he was serving his sentence in a Dubai jail.
A film on Mamta’s life:
Mamta Kulkarni’s infamous topless photoshoot for a film magazine’s cover had created a huge controversy in the ’90s with women’s organisations showing up with saris so that they could cover her up! And it is being reported that the photographer behind this shoot Jayesh Sheth has now nearly completed a film on the controversial actor’s life.
Talking about her marriage to a drug lord, Jayesh revealed that the actor confessed to him that her aim in life was to always get rich. When her film career was waning, she had approached him to ask if he was interested in doing another shoot with her, but in the midst of talks, she is said to have got a call from Dubai and told the photographer that she no longer required the shoot.
This was way back in the ’90s. After that Mamta lost touch with the industry though rumours about her involvement with the mafia continued.
Jayesh who has always been fascinated with her life completed the script of his film, based on Mamta about an actor who makes it big and then disappears. After her husband’s arrest he now plans to re-work the ending.
