Pon Radhakrishnana discusses Tamil Nadu projects with Chief Minister

Both the ministers discussed status of projects and acquisition of land projects
Chennai: Union minister of state for heavy industries and public enterprises and senior BJP leader Pon Radhakrishnan on Tuesday called on Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam at the secretariat here. Radhakrishnan and the Chief Minister discussed he status of several ongoing projects and acquisition of land for some projects. “I had discussed some of the ongoing projects including the Ennore Manali Road Improvement Project, Maduravoyal Road link project. We were also discussing acquisition of lands for some of the projects,” Radhakrishnan told reporters.
He was accompanied by senior BJP leaders including Tamil Nadu unit president Tamilisai Soundararajan. Recently, Union shipping minister Nitin Gadkari who made his first visit to state had appealed for the cooperation of Tamil Nadu government for taking up projects.
“I am ready to offer Rs50,000 crore worth of road networks if the state government co-operates. Only problem in road sector is land acquisition. It is a very difficult task,” Gadkari had said on that occasion.
