Karthik Subbaraj has revealed that Siddharth will be doing a short film with him, which will be under the banner of his new production venture, Stone Bench Creations.
True to his roots and beginnings, Karthik Subbaraj has not forgotten the path he took the short film route that helped him become one of the most sought after filmmakers in the industry. Stone Bench Productions will primarily promote and find new avenues for short films, and help to choose the casting for films.
Karthik Subbraj’s idea is to club good short films together and release them in theatres, including those by newcomers. He believes that it will create a platform for upcoming filmmakers to showcase their talent.
Many prominent directors in the industry too have expressed an interest in doing short films. Karthik has also started an online portal Bench Casting that will provide a common platform for aspiring actors to upload their portfolios and directors to find the apt cast for their films.
The third initiative of the filmmaker is, Benchsubs, which will subtitle movies in any language so that they can be showcased for a global audience.
