Youth stabbed to death at Golconda

The killer joined the group, walked towards him and attacked

Hyderabad: A man was killed in broad daylight at Golconda on Thurs-day. The victim, Abdul Razzak, 24, was stabbed as he was returning from prayers at a mosque. He sustained multiple injuries and was shifted to the hospital where he died. Previous enmity is suspected to be the reason.

Abdul Razzak was an electrician and a resident of Negnanpur near Alkapur in Golconda. He used to make parts for transformers.

Police said that Razaak went to attend prayers at the mosque near Masjid-e-kala, about 100 metres away from the police station in the afternoon. At around 1.15 pm, as he was returning, he was followed by an unidentified person who stabbed him from behind.

“As the prayers ended the congregation came out. The killer joined the group, walked towards him and attacked. The victims’ friends were with him. However they couldn’t stop the killer as he was armed,” said SI K. Ramlal of Golconda.

After the attack the killer fled the spot. Based on a complaint, a murder case was registered. The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem. The family did not name any suspects.

Cops said Razaak had enemies and it is suspected that they killed him. The cops have picked up some suspects for questioning based on suspicion.
