Not glamorous but Modi is a warm paternal figure: Saif Ali Khan
Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan is well read about almost everything and is the kind who likes to keep a tab on all the current affairs of the world. However, he is amused that recently in an interview he was quoted saying, “Narendra Modi is glamorous.” When DC caught up with the Nawab in a city studio, we threw the question to him as why he referred the Prime Minister as ‘glamorous’? He was completely clueless about it and to set the record straight he clarified, “ Glamorous sounds so shallow like I am some fashionista. Describing the leader of our country who normally wears Khadi as glamorous is a huge error. I don’t think I said it, I can’t have said it, and it wasn’t me. I would call him a warm paternal figure rather than glamorous.”
Talking about the vision and plans of Narendra Modi for the country, Saif Ali Khan says, “ It's great that a government finally has a majority and there is no excuse for not executing certain things. He seems to be a man with incredible amount of energy and having a political maturity. The way he has spoken about Indian Space Research, foreign investment, sanitation and the economy are all very encouraging. Modi is a leader I am proud of.”
