Kochi to host National fest for differently abled on December 3

Around 200 differently abled artists from all over the country will attend the festival
KOCHI: Kochi will host a national festival of differently abled people titled ‘Barrier Free India’ in Kochi on December 3. The festival is organised by Prathyasa Foundation. Around 200 differently abled artists from all over the country will attend the festival to be held at Durbar Hall Ground, Simon George, Chariman, told reporters on Wednesday.
The participants from Delhi will present wheel chair dance, while team from Mumbai will do a Kathak dance, he said. A team of visually challenged artists from Bengaluru and a team of dwarf persons from Kerala will present cinematic dances. Several other artist groups will also present various musical prorgammes, Mr. George said.
This is the first time such an event is being held, he said. The event is being organised with the intention of bringing the differently abled people into the mainstream of cultural life, he added
