iPhone 4s, iPad 2 performance issues finally solved with iOS 8.1.1 update

As excited as the Apple fans were for the new iOS 8 update, on being finally released the software faced a lot of criticism. The new Apple operating system update was compatible with iPhone and iPad models going back to 2011, which includes the iPhone 4s and above, the iPad 2 and above.

With the update, although the newer phones were experiencing problems too, but the iPhone 4s and the iPad 2, the oldest devices compatible with iOS 8, were giving major troubles. Post the update, the two devices became significantly slower, and the app took much longer to launch than usual. The user interface was often seen to be jerky and inconsistent.

However, Apple then rolled out the iOS 8.1 update that was meant to fix all the bugs in the older update. This update fixed the problems for the newer phones but the iPhone 4s and iPad 2 were still lagging.

However, Apple has now officially released iOS 8.1.1 software update, that addresses the issues with the iPhone 4s and iPad 2. The update includes customary bug fixes and improves the performance on the iPhone 4s and iPad 2. Although the update primarily focuses on the performance issue of iPhone 4s and iPad 2, the update is available over-the-air for all Apple devices compatible with iOS 8.
