ISL: Nicolas Anelka draws first blood, Mumbai ahead

Frenchman's free-kick provides lead for hosts, Kerala yet to impress
Mumbai: After being hammered 5-1 in their previous outing, an erratic Mumbai City FC would look to put their campaign back on track when they lock horns with Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League on Sunday.
Live updates:
FT: Mumbai City FC 1-0 Kerala Blasters FC.
90'+2': YELLOW CARD for Stephen Pearson.
66': Stohanzl trying to increase the lead, takes a couple of long range shots. One is blocked and the other is off target.
59': SUBSTITUTION; Ralte makes way for Nadong Bhutia; Anelka creating chances.
55': Jan Stohanzl tries a shot from 60 yards but goes way above the bar.
52': SUBSTITUTION; Penn Orji makes way for Andrew Barisic.
44': GOAL! Nicolas Anelka scores first ISL goal. Mumbai City FC take lead. HALF-TIME
32': A questionable decision from one of the referees. CS Sabeeth declared offside but he was very much onside and in a goal-scoring position after receiving a cross by Orji.
24': Penn Orji’s cross for Stephen Pearson. Paul dives and clears to keep it out for a corner. Cedric Hengbert and the clan miss two back-to-back chances from corners.
18': First shot on target, Nicolas Anelka from a Moritz pass, but well saved.
13': Moritz and Stohanzl on the run, Mumbai creating chances. Anelka almost scored before the Kerala defense intercepted the defense. On a lighter note, Subhash Singh Singam has a new haircut, he is difficult to spot.
7': Nabi and Ralte indulging in aerial challenges, no bookings yet but this has been a regular feature in all matches where the opponent has been Kerala.
5': Mumbai trying to create early pressure through Andre Moritz and Lalrindika Ralte, but the winger’s ball was far away from Nicolas Anelka who was looking to position himself.
1': We are off, but Kerala has a reason to worry, star player David James is unavailable due to an injury. Sandip Nandy is going to be the visitors' custodian tonight.
Mumbai are struggling to find their rhythm and are placed second from bottom in the points table with a win and three losses.
Save for the 5-0 win against Pune City FC, the Ranbir Kapoor-owned team has failed to get the better of the opposition and would be eager to add three points to their kitty when they take on Blasters on their home turf at the D Y Patil Stadium.
Mumbai would be without the services of their marquee player Fredrik Ljungberg who is nursing a hamstring injury. The Swede missed the last game against Chennaiyin FC after suffering an injury sustained in the home tie against NorthEast United.
Possible line-ups:
Mumbai City FC (4-2-3-1): Paul, Ribeiro, Friedrich, Cmovs, Nabi, Letzelter, Stohanzl, Didika, Moritz, Anelka, Subhash
Kerala Blasters (4-3-2-1): James, Jhingan, Hengbart, Gurwinder, Chettri, Pearson, Hossain, Renedy, Orji, Hume, Sabeet
