On Wednesday, Tinseltown was abuzz with the report that Yuvan, whose new name is reportedly, Khalique, is engaged. His fiancee is a Muslim girl named Zafarun (Zafarunnisa), a Dubai-based fashion designer who has her roots in Tamil Nadu.
The engagement that took place in Chennai apparently was a low-key affair, a source said. A picture of Zafarun is also being circulated on the Internet. Sources said that the wedding would take place in December in Dubai.
It is unclear whether he knew Zafarun earlier. In an informal chat with DC, the Biryani composer said that he was ready to get married and his friends were looking out for a match for him.
When asked if he was seeing anyone, Yuvan, who does ‘namaz’ five times a day, was quick to reply, “Falling in love is not accepted in Islam.”
Yuvan, who has been married twice before and divorced, converted to Islam a few months ago, when he lost his mother.
Yuvan has also recently deactivated his twitter handle @raja_yuvan. The message says, ‘Reserved for Yuvan when he changes his mind to get back to Twitter again’.
