Home guards fake orders for reinstatement

Cyberabad police has booked a case and has started an investigation

Hyderabad: As many as 63 “fake” Home Guards allegedly cheated the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal and the Cyberabad police by acquiring reinstatement orders by submitting fake documents.

The accused had approached the APAT with the forged documents stating that they were dismissed from the force. However, they were never recruited in the force in the first place.

Cyberabad police has booked a case and has started an investigation. Police suspects that advocates working at APAT and home guard officials have been helping the fake candidates.

Raidurgam police officials said that APAT had granted reinstatement orders to 28 out of 63 applicants. Later, they suspected the authenticity of the documents.

“Recently, several dismissed and removed Home Guards have been approaching the APAT and getting orders of reinstatement. Getting suspicious, the Cyberabad police commissioner order an inquiry,”, said a senior Cyberabad police official.
