LeT hideout in J&K busted, 8 arrested

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday claimed that it has busted a recruitment module of Lashkar-e-Taiba, and arrested eight members from Sopore, “thus averting a major terror and subversion plan of the militants.”

The Army’s 30 Rashtriya Rifles too took part in the in the operation, the police said.

“The local boys were recruited into the outfit, building a network of LeT operatives who aimed to execute various terror activities in and around Sopore,” the police said. Meanwhile, Kuupwara police and the 28 Rashtriya Rifles busted a hideout in Lolab on Monday and recovered huge cache of ammunition.
