Lucknow: Ten-year-olds worked overtime on Monday to ensure a ‘clean Kannauj’ for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, who was on a visit to the city, which is his wife Dimple Yadav’s parliamentary constituency, to address a seminar on potato farming.
The venue for the function was the Tirwa Government Medical College and children as young as 9 and 10 years were caught on camera, sweeping the area. Almost all the children sweeping the venue were in this age group.
A news channel questioned one of the boys who admitted on camera that he would be paid Rs 200 for the work.
