Farah Khan to release 'Happy New Year' promotional song tonight

Mumbai: Farah Khan’s musical heist film ‘Happy New Year’ may have broken records on the first day itself, but that hasn’t stopped her from the film’s promotions. A new promotional song will be released tonight, October 28.

The song has been composed by Vishal and Shekhar and will feature the entire cast coming together one last time. The music video for the song was shot a couple of days before the film’s release.

The track, Sharabi, shows the actors in red velvet suits, has been choreographed by Ganesh Hegde.

Decades ago, Kaho Na Pyaar Mei, the film that marked the big launch of Hrithik Roshan had adapted this strategy. The song 'Jaaneman Jaaneman' featuring Ameesha Patel was released a couple of days later after the film became an overnight blockbuster. Though it was shot earlier, it didn't make it to the final cut of the film.

In the case of Happy New Year, they shot it keeping in mind that they will come out with this song after the film is released.
