Father puts up baby girl for adoption after mother’s death

The officials shifted the infant to Shishu Gruha in Nizamabad on Saturday

Nizamabad: A five-month-old girl child was handed over to ICDS officials in Yellareddy on Saturday. The officials shifted the infant to Shishu Gruha in Nizamabad on Saturday.

According to sources, Margam Raju and Venkavva of Vellutla village in Yellareddy mandal had a daughter. In her second delivery, Venkavva gave birth to twins, a baby boy and baby girl. Tragically, because of a high-risk pregnancy, Venkavva died on the same day.

Unable to manage the twins, Margam Raju gave the baby boy to his relatives for adoption and handed over baby girl to the officials.

ICDS project director Ramulu said that after the verification of the family details, they had taken the responsibility of the girl and shifted her to Shishu Gruha. He said that interested couples could contact them to adopt the baby girl as per norms.
