Haider wins ‘People’s Choice’ award at Rome Film Festival

Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bharadwaj who were present at the Rome Film Festival did not come home empty handed. Vishal’s critically acclaimed film ‘Haider’ which was screened in the film festival in Italy, won hearts of the audience and jury members, that it picked up the 'People's Choice Award'.

'Haider' is the first Indian film to have won this award at Rome Film Festival.

The film, which is based on William Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’, has Shahid, Shraddha Kapoor, Tabu and Kay kay Menon in leading roles.
