Japan keen to help Andhra Pradesh build smart capital city

CM Naidu is also scheduled to visit Japan in November
Hyderabad: The Japanese government has evinced interest to helping Andhra Pradesh government in building a smart capital city between Vijayawada and Guntur regions.
A high-level Japanese delegation met AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and said they are also keen on power projects including 4,000 MW thermal power in Visakhapatnam, 4,000 thermal power in Srikakulam and 2,000 MW solar power in Anantapur.
The officials also showed interest in sharing technology in agriculture and food processing sectors, cold chains and food parks. Setting up of an industrial park, which will have a dedicated utility centre was also discussed. Mr Naidu is also scheduled to visit Japan in November.
State officials said, the exploratory meeting between the government of Andhra Pradesh and the delegation was to understand the policies of the state government.
The delegation members told Mr Naidu that they will be meeting officials of 100 companies in New Delhi next month and want a representation from Andhra Pradesh as a prelude to CM’s visit.
