Dhoni rested, Kohli to lead

MSD rested as he has been playing continuously
Hyderabad: Virat Kohli has been named captain of the Indian team for the first three of the five One-Day internationals against Sri Lanka at the selection committee meeting here on Tuesday. While neither chairman of the selection committee Sandeep Patil nor Team India director Ravi Shastri took questions from the media, it is believed that Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been rested after having played continuously since India's series against England that began in June this year followed by the Champions League T20 and the recent truncated series with the West Indies. Dhoni’s absence has facilitated wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha’s return to the side though.
Hyderabad to host ODI
Hyderabad is one of the venues for the series, the BCCI said in a statement. Cuttack, Ranchi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad are the other host cities for the five-match series. The City was scheduled to host the first Test against Windies.
