THIRUVANANTHAPRUAM: Opposition Leader V.S. Achuthanandan who turned 91 on Monday reiterated his birthday resolution saying he would continue to fight the Congress and the BJP for the rest of his life.
He told mediapersons that the BJP was following the same pro-corporate, anti-people neo-liberal policies of the previous UPA government.
Earlier, he celebrated a quiet birthday at his official residence, Cantonment House, here with his family members.
Though it was a normal day for him, birthday wishes started pouring in right from early morning and continued throughout the day.
Mr Achuthanandan, who was the 20th Chief Minister of the state, is one of the most popular leaders of the state who leads an active political life.
