And with hardly a month’s time left for the spiritual carnival at the abode of Goddess Padmavathi, TTD officials led by TTD JEO Pola Bhaskar have been constantly reviewing the progress of arrangements underway at Tiruchanoor.

Speaking to this newspaper, Mr Bhaskar said that elaborate arrangements including barricading, setting up of parking zones, cleansing the temple tank, beautification works, electrical works are all underway to ensure the best of arrangements are in place for the 9-day annual Brahmotsavam which draws huge crowds from across the country.

The JEO added that the main focus would be on the ‘Gaja Vahanam’ and the ‘Panchami Teertham’ which draws millions of devotees on the most important days of the festival.

He said foolproof barricading works would be undertaken with multiple entry and exit routes around the temple tank to ensure no untoward incidents take place during the ‘Panchami Teertham’.
