Hyderabad: Actor Pawan Kalyan announced long back that he would do Gabbar Singh 2 and the film was officially launched a few months back.
However, work has not started on the film as the actor has been busy with his political work and with the film Gopala Gopala. Now, Pawan Kalyan wants to make the film as soon as possible.
The film will be directed by Sampath Nandi and produced by Sharath Marar. According to a source, the actor has asked the director and the producer to prepare for the shooting in December and the search for a female lead is on.
Though several names are doing rounds, according to a source, the makers want Rakul Preet Singh as the lead as they are impressed with her performance in recent films. Currently, Rakul is busy with a couple of other films.
