Hyderabad: The engineering education system requires radical changes and currently the increasing un-employability levels are a matter of concern, said Harpreet Singh, IT secretary, Telanagana state. Of approximately 60,000 graduates, who pass out of the engineering colleges every year, only about 25,000 got jobs soon after.
Speaking at a press conference held by the Computer Society of India to announce the golden jubilee and 49th annual convention CSI, 2014 to be held on December 10 and 11, the official said that to overcome the challenge, radical changes in the education system are required.
“The government is chalking out an action plan to set up TASK (Telangana Academy for Skills and Knowledge) for improving the required skill sets,” he said.
